wonderful kitchen

I LOVE this kitchen. The gorgeous blue tile, the industrial style appliances, the hanging copper pots, the suspended lighting fixtures and that gorgeous window. Love, love, love it all! YES, please!

time is everything

As little Duncan wanted to play fetch, tug-of-war, grab the slippers and any such activity before 6:30 this morning, I find this image to be extremely appropriate. Hello earlier bedtime!

eye-pleasing rooms

Hi everyone! I hope you had a fantastic weekend. Mine was full of a playful puppy, family, friends, food and cleaning. Couldn't get much better, right? I'm loving the individual looks of these rooms, found on Canadian House & Home.
I'm off to play tug-of-war with a three-month-old! Have a fantastic start to your week!

making a statement

I have found that decorating the inside of your abode can be intimidating enough. Fun and exciting, yet very daunting. I give props to those who go ahead and paint their house or plant a beautiful garden. I LOVE these brightly colored doors and wish I could muster up the courage to try this out. Love, love, love 'em!

meet Duncan

Introducing the newest member of the family...Duncan! The first day(ish) he was very timid and loving. Now, Duncan is mischievous, curious and a little rebellious, but definitely still loving. He is trying to show us who's boss by eating paper towels, grabbing slippers on the go and other such activities. But, boy do I love this puppy. He fell asleep in my arms on the way home and has been warming my heart since. One of my favorite things that he did was on the first night when I was cooking. He wanted to cuddle up so badly that he laid between my feet and on my slippers. Yes, the same slippers he has been eying ever since! I was able to switch out his stuffed animal for my feet and we were golden.

Oh, and he loves his Molly Mutt bed...see?

super cute dog beds by Molly Mutt

Oh boy, I have been a very very bad blogger! But I have big news. We're getting a puppy :) Yay!! How exciting! Can you believe we're getting a puppy?!? Of course you can, you were probably over it four "!" ago!!!! But I'm not, and probably never will be, even into his or her old age. So get used to the dog-owner talk. Or don't, whatever suits you. Anyway, along with getting a supremely cute new puppy comes supremely cute dog supplies, of course. I remember spotting dog beds by Molly Mutt a while ago on MadeByGirl and went straight for those. They are very cost and eco-friendly and have awesome designs. They make the concept super-easy to understand. See?

And its just perfect timing. I have a lot of old clothes that are in a "donate" box that I'm sure the new pup will love to sleep on! They really have the best patterns and designs.

Aren't they wonderful? Can you guess which one I got? What? The third one down? You are so smart! This pup is gonna have some rockin' style. I'm off to drink a glass of red wine, listen to Band of Horses and read some Cesar Millan.  I will have the perfect dog, I will have the perfect dog....

pretty wall art

Hello everyone! I have had this image set aside for a while and never found the "perfect time" to share it. So, why not now? I just love everything about it, most especially the wall art. It gives the room such a cohesive look and seems so easy to do! I hope you have a great start to your week!

new to me

Happy February everyone! Time is just flying by. I can't believe we are already one month into 2010. Last week I stumbled upon a website out of Australia that has quickly moved to the top of my list. Homelife is so, so lovely. I can't wait to explore it more. For now, feast your eyes on this eye candy. I'm sure I will be sharing lots more in the future.
