full disclosure

Hello dear blog reader. I think it's time that I introduce you to one of my worst habits...my sleep schedule! I have hinted at this before, but never with full disclosure. I feel most productive and awake at night, leaving me longing for more pillow time in the morning. When I don't post in the am, it is not because I am being productive or have nothing to say. It is because my head is still buried in my pillow, my hand on snooze. Every week I plan to wake up really early to have one zombie-like day, thinking that it will transform my schedule. No luck so far, but do stick with me. I might have a transformation. In the meantime, a couple images for those comfy-cozy fall days.

Hello everyone! I hope you all had a great weekend (yes, a day late...again!) Mine was quite lovely. I went to The Glass Barn for some hidden treasures and Ikea for some not so hidden treasures. It was my first visit to Ikea and *whew!* I can see what all the fuss was about in more ways than one. Yes, it is large and that store is definitely in-charge. However; they do also have some wonderful things. My trip was light, but I can imagine spending much much more moolah there. Lately I have been brainstorming a good couples Halloween costume for my man and I. Suggestions?

fondue Friday!

Happy Friday, everyone! Can you believe October begins next week? The summer is truly gone and the only part of me that is sad about it is my untanned skin. Wearing slippers again and cuddling up under blankets seems pretty ideal! Now I just need to figure out a rockin' Halloween costume! I am pretty excited for this weekend. The boy and I are going to a fondue restaurant for dinner tonight. Tomorrow I am going to explore some shops I haven't been in a while, as well as some I've never been to, namely Ikea (gasp!) I am quite excited about it and hope you enjoy your weekend, as well!

I am so smitten with these gorgeous packages from oh, hello friend. They are, in a word, pretty. The colors are so soft, the combintation of patterns is wonderful and the details (oh the details!) are just perfect. The ribbon, lace and tags that she uses complete the look so nicely. With the holidays right around the corner (believe it or not!) this is wonderful inspiration for wrapping a beautiful gift. Have a really happy weekend!

rooms for tired days

Do you ever wake up in the morning feeling like you would be better off staying in bed all day? Not necessarily in an "I'm a huge pessimist and this is going to be a bad day" sort of way. More in a "this bed is so comfortable and I'm a night owl" sort of way. As much as I want to be a morning person, I feel much more productive in the evening and way more excited to stay in bed in the morning than I ever am to get in bed at night. If I ever decide to just stay in bed all day, I think I should spend it in one of these rooms. Don't they look heavenly?

Hello, all! Did you have a good weekend? Mine was wonderful. I color-coded the books in my bookcase, caught up on some work, cleaned and relaxed. It was great! It looks so relaxing and, in a word, pretty!

Happy Friday to you! I'm looking forward to a fun and productive weekend. How about you? Saturday morning I will be walking in the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure and Sunday afternoon I am going to the Bengals' season opener (whodey!) I also plan to color-code the books in my bookcase, among many other oh-so important tasks. Isn't this packaging pure gorgeousness? Clementine Art makes "natural, fresh, real" art supplies for children. The bright pop that their product provides against the clean white and gray packaging is so lovely. I might just have to run to Whole Foods to get some for myself!

I am LOVING this office makeover that I spotted on do it yourself. The bold red complimented by the light walls and the pretty blue is just perfect. The curtains, which are actually bed sheets, on the double doors seem to let in just the right amount of light and the hardwood floors are gorgeous. Marimekko eye candy

Hi everyone! I hope you enjoyed your long weekend. My friends' wedding was an absolute blast. I can't wait to have some photos to share! The photographer took the wedding party to a nearby county fair to take some pictures, which I am so excited to see. The bride was absolutely gorgeous and I'm sure they will make for some stellar shots. I have pulled some pretty, pretty scenes from Marimekko for you to enjoy.
