green rooms

Don't you just love the pop of green in these rooms? I have such a deep desire to paint and decorate. (with high hopes of the finished product turning out this beautiful, of course.)

wine bottle design

I have always been intrigued by wine label and bottle design. This is definitely another shopping experience where I can say that I judge a product by its label. These are all different, yet eye-pleasing. Aren't they great?

CB2 carton vase

Hello everyone! I hope you had a very enjoyable weekend. I had a great time with friends and family. Now, it's back to the grind. I love this vase from CB2. I highly recommend ordering their catalog. It is great to flip through, but if you are in the market for home goods (or even if you just want to be), they have a great price point. This carton vase is $6.95. Intriguing, no?

happy friday!

Good morning, everyone! I am starting the day with homemade banana bread (compliments of my roommate), a raspberry smoothie and a hard-boiled egg. It is quite lovely. I will be spending the rest of the weekend with great friends from college, who I only see a few times a year. I am so excited for the next couple days. I hope you all have a superb weekend, as well!

Coastal Living

Ok, so yesterday evening I was browsing the bookstore. Which, by the way, was wonderful and I highly recommend taking a free hour to do so. While browsing, I stumbled across Coastal Living and seriously could not love it any more than I do. I have seen some photos from the mag on other blogs, but it is just so much better in print! Yes, this is coming from a fellow blogger and electronic file-pusher. I sat there drooling over the pages, hemming and hawing (I've never used that phrase before; how'd I do?) over whether or not to purchase it. I opted to pocket my $11 for one issue to save for, say, 10 issues for $10. Problem solved. Now on to the next one.. I love magazines, recipes, how-tos and good design. I just don't want to toss any more to the recycling bin, but also don't have room for them. Any helpful hints? Alright, and my last and final problem is that little pull in my heart when I think about living on the coast..

Enjoy the images!

in this home...

This has been making the blog rounds recently and I just love it. I think it originated on uncharted odyssey, but, oh, I just don't know. In these last couple posts, I have not been doing a stellar job of knowing who gets credit for these inspiring images. Please provide this knowledge if you have it!

Anyway, don't you just love this yellow wall? I think I want to live in this house. We all want to practice these mantras, and maybe having them screaming at you in your hallway helps to create the ideal environment.

Hello paradise!

I discovered this little bit of beauty while blog-browsing yesterday. I can't remember exactly where I saw it, but it is on flickr! Enjoy!

Happy Monday, everyone! I hope you had a wonderful weekend! Mine was lovely, thank you. Remember this previous post about duc duc? They have another line, called Mason Gray, to swoon over!

beautiful before & after

Just spotted this morning on design*sponge, I LOVE {love, love} this before & after and just had to post it. The final bedroom is absolutely gorgeous. The vertical tree trunks paired with the horizontal wall shelves is so appealing. I love the picture frames and vases on the wall shelves. The vases have such clean lines and there is a great, subtle pop of yellow on the pillow and the candles on the dresser. Oh, and I want that bed. Love it!

Happy Friday!
I hope you all have a really enjoyable weekend.

Mommy Francis' pretty packaging

I'm a sucker for good packaging. (aren't we all?) If I am browsing for a certain product, I can't resist wonderful colors, graphics, typography or shape. So yes, I do judge a book by it's cover. Buying something with pretty packaging means you get to look at it over and over again. LOVE this packaging for Mommy Francis in Atlanta. You could unwrap those four coffee labels, frame them and hang them in a series in my kitchen ... or yours!

more lovely centerpieces

Love these natural centerpieces found via Rachael Ray. They are especially wonderful because you don't have to purchase a single thing! You can use glasses and tableware that you already have and some of mother nature's goodness from your own backyard.

If you wanted to make the first one a bit more festive, you could wrap the sticks using colorful twine or string, like this found at Papyrus. This twine is packaged in a cute little box. I have used it to wrap presents before and its great. Happy hump day, everyone!
