Disney wall art

Hello, everyone! I hope you had a great weekend. It was so gorgeous here yesterday and I felt super productive, designing and making homemade gazpacho. What a wonderful Sunday! I am in one of my best friends weddings this coming weekend and can't wait. It is always great to see friends from college, especially for such a joyous occasion. For her bridal shower gift, I created these custom wall art pieces. The bride loves the Disney princesses, so I opted to create a sophisticated Disney piece. I purchased these '80s Disney stamps from The Vintage Emporium, an etsy vendor. I then used pattern paper and the most romantic lyrics from Snow White, Sleeping Beauty and Cinderella to create a series of three. I am quite pleased with the final product!

i have reached my...

Woohoo! I can't believe 30 duo hit the *100 post* mark this week. I believe this is actually post 103; however Friday felt like the perfect day to celebrate. I can't help but thinking to myself "what have I talked about 100 times and who has listened??" But, as long as you enjoy visiting me here at thirty duo, I'll keep on going! Have a great weekend, all my dear readers!

canadian house & home kitchens

I am just loving these kitchens, both from Canadian House & Home. I'm definitely seeing some trends when it comes to my taste in kitchen design. Hello, tiles walls, white cabinets AND light hardwood floors! To make these kitchens truly perfect *for me* I would need a little element of shabby chic, as well. Maybe cabinet doors with a little detailing, not so sleek. Things to keep in mind in the oh-so-distant future!

gorgeous wedding

LOVE these images that I snagged from a feature wedding on Style Me Pretty, shot by The Nichols. I absolutely adore that the bride and groom acheived this charming, welcoming look with such an eye-popping modern color scheme. I love the huge clusters of diy poms and hanging paper balls. Using something like these really completes the look.

The original posts are here: one, two, three and four. Check it out for lots of inspiration! Have a great hump day!

trip down *vacation* lane

As promised, here are some images from our vaca in Florida. We really lucked out with the weather, having only one dreary day. It was completely relaxing, our schedule being coffee, pool, lunch, beach, nice dinner, bed, repeat x6. I had so many delicious meals, most especially seafood (mm oysters on the half-shell!). I read quite a few books, making my way completely through the collection of Emily Giffin. If you're looking for a nice chick-flick-in-a-book, I do recommend! Diectly below is the view from our balcony, overlooking the pool, which overlooks the ocean. Ahhh...

back beachy boho-style!

Hello, everyone! We are back and had an a-ma-zing time in Florida. I will post a couple of pics tomorrow, but wanted to get back in gear with these images from Coastal Living. Nothing like getting back into the swing of things with a hint of vacation to start the day! Enjoy the start to your brand new week!

florida...

here we come! I bet you were just sitting there wondering what *the personal paradise* of thirty duo looks like, weren't you? Well, here it is! This beautiful beach and poolside on the Florida panhandle. The bf and I are taking a trip down there for just a little over a week and I can't wait. I do know that I have a pretty great life as it is, but I feel like I have just been nonstop lately. I am THRILLED that I will soon be sitting on the beach with a big straw hat, a pina colada and a girly book. Have a great week, guys! I promise, my blogging schedule will be getting back to normal!

pop of color

Happy Tuesday, everyone! I am LOVING these images from Canadian House and Home. Serious proof that you can't be afraid of using color. These rooms just wouldn't be the same without the pop of these bright colors.

measuring cups + Anthro = complete lust

I have lots of great things to love in my blogging queue and a beautiful Friday seems like the perfect day for, you guessed it ... Anthro! Its been a little while since I have posted about them and I have to say, it took a lot for me to not run out and buy these as soon as I got the email blast. Aren't they quite possibly the best thing you have ever seen?

Ahhhh. All my best wishes for a wonderful weekend!

pretty moroccan table setting

I spotted this gem of a table setting on Sunday Suppers, a blog that is filled to the brim with eye candy in every way. Really gorgeous photography and especially delicious-looking food! I've got my eye on both the gazpacho and the roasted beet salad recipes. Isn't this table so delicately pretty? I love the tarnished-looking vases and the pops of bright color with the red, orange and turquoise.

happy august!

Hello everyone! Back to my normal blogging schedule, at least for a bit. The art show was a huge success, thanks to everyone who came to support me and check it out. There was a decent crowd and I even made a few sales. The back of my mind is whispering, and gradually turning into yelling, "etsy, etsy, etsy!" And I'm telling my mind that I know, I know, I know!

I came across Tracey Leigh, interior designer, via decor8 recently. Her home is just so pretty, don't you think? It is perfectly designed in a wonderful shabby-chic kind of way.
